Is there a cartographic methodology best used to indicate the direction of flow in a sanitary sewer geometric network. At this point in time the arrows are graphic elements and are not dynamic.

Mapping Center Answer:

If you have Network Analyst, there is an option to display the flow direction (see the help topic called "Displaying flow direction").  Arrows are often used for this type of information on a map, so the Network Analyst option uses this cartographic convention.
