Is there a resource for bicycle and pedestrian symbols? Particularly - shared lane markings or share the road; stop for pedestrians; bike (with no box around it as is currently in the symbology); pedestrian (not people as is currently in the symbology); bike lane (not just bike lane ahead).  thanks

Mapping Center Answer:

Not at this time.  You could create your own symbols by making .emf or .bmp graphics and then using them in picture marker symbols. Or you could modify the existing symbology in some of the ESRI fonts to create some of the symbols you need.  We will be writing a blog entry about this in the near future, but for now, you can check out the instructions in the online help for Modifying a representation marker. The represntation marker editro allows you to modify the geometry of character marker smbols (created using fonts.) Of course, you would then have to use this symbology to symbolize point representation geometry, you would have to convert your point features to representations.
