Scaled feature

I know that you can draw 2 features with a scale range set for both so that 1 will show between 1:50,000 to 1:20,000 and the other showing from 1:19,999 to 1:5000. I have a feature with 2 polygons within it, the first polygon i have captured at 1:10,000 and the second at 1:2500. Is it possible to get the scale range to work within the same feature?

Mapping Center Answer:

The scale range works for the entire feature class.  If you want to retain the two polys in one feature class, then have two copies in your map document with a definition query set on each defining which of the two polys will be displayed.  Set the scale ranges as you wish for each of the feature classes with their def queries.
