Hello. I just downloaded a color ramp from the webpage of ESRI. but i can't work with it.
I descompress the archive but it doesn't appear in the list of color ramps to use... what can I do? I need to move the entire archive of color ramps to a special place or what?

I really need help. Thanks.

Mapping Center Answer:

You need to reference the style.  In 9.3x you click on Styles on the top bar menu, then click Style Manager, then click the Styles button at the right, scroll down and click Add.  Then navigate to the location of the downloaded style and select it.  Once it is referenced, youc an look at the contents in the Style Manager.

Alternatively, you can click on Styles on the top bar menu, the Styles References and then navigate to the lcoation of the download to reference it.  If you want to view the contents, then click on Styles on the top bar menu, then click Style Manager, and you can open the folders of all your referenced styles to view the contents (as above).

To "un-reference" the style, in Style Manager, click Styles and uncheck the referenced style (note that you can never unreference your personal style).
