line connecting two points

I would like to have lines automatically drawn between two points in a dataset. Other than using the editor tools, is there a tool that can create multiple lines between two different points?

Mapping Center Answer:

One way to do this is to create a "spider diagram" in which lines are drawn between various points -- they are called Desire Lines in Business Analyst.  If you do not have this extension, you can use a table of the coordinates for the lines.  You would need to have an ID for each line segment, followed by the starting x,y coordinates and then the ending x,y coordinates.  Using the XY to Line tool, this would generate a set of lines for you. (Note that you cannot use the Point to Line tool if you only have the starting and ending points for the line -- it works with more than three vertices.)
