Dear Sir, Madam:

How can I change the Everest 1830 Projected Data to WGS 1984? Is there any change or displacement between Everest 1830 Projected data and WGS 1984 Projected Data?

Thank you.

Mapping Center Answer:

Everest 1830 is a spheroid (ellipsoid), and not a true geographic coordinate system, nor a datum. That's why there are no transformations. There are several GCS for various parts of Asia that use an Everest spheroid. There have been several "Everest" spheroids with different parameters due to different yard-meter conversions. Based on the data's location, we can suggest a more appropriate GCS and transformation.
