Where can I find a font(s) for Power Utility Companies. There are special mapping symbology that is used as an Industry Standard, but I am not able to utilize them in my GIS mapping due to no fonts being available.
Mapping Center Answer:
Many of the Power Utility Companies have created or use fonts that are purchased from another vendor and or their status is proprietary. We've found that there isn't a whole lot of sharing of the purchased fonts (approprieate, due to copyrights) or posting of the standards. What we'd suggest is that you take a look at what the styles that esri has already in the software (Utilities Style: Electric, Water, etc.) and start with using the symbols as is, then customize their appearance through symbol representations.
