Dear Cartographer,
perhaps I was not clear, I apologize for it.
the student would like to know if Maplex extension is available for free with an ArcInfo license
thank you very much for all your help and support.

Mapping Center Answer:

With an ArcInfo license, the Maplex extension is included.  It is still an extension, so you need to turn it on, but you do not have to order and pay for it separately if you have an ArcInfo level license.

What about Maplex and ArcView? Can you have a single use ArcView license work with Maplex?

At either the ArcView or ArcEditor license level you will need to get the Maplex extention. Or, if you have ArcSchematics, Maplex is included at all license levels.
