vegetation profile

It is possible generate a vegetation profile in arcgis 9.2, as shown in the attachment. I have coordinates of each trees, topographic information and dasymetric data.

We do not have a tool that directly does as you ask.

For the profile view, the closest thing we have is the Profile Graph tool, which can create an elevation graph against surface data (raster DEM, TIN). 

You could also display the vegetation points (symbolized by different 3D models, using an attribute to define categories) inside ArcScene or ArcGlobe and then manually zoom to a viewpoint to get a pseudo vegetation profile view.

For the top-down view, you could use Select by Location (using a polygon or a graphic) in ArcMap to identify a subset of features to display. Then use your vegetation points (perhaps symbolized by different sized / colored circles) to get you fairly close to the given screenshot.
