Specific follow-up to labeling question: Street Placement disrupts two-line label

October 12 2010 | 0 comments

I asked a question earlier about labels placing on each segment of the same road. I found the "Street Address Placement" and associated options. Each presents problems; I have attached the closest fit for our needs. How can I address the remaining crooked text issue? Thank you!

Mapping Center Answer:

With Maplex, I think your best option will be to use the Regular Placement, in the Horizontal Position, with Stacked label checked, and Remove Duplicates search radius of 12 Inches. This will give you nice horizontal labels, and should get rid of the duplicates labels, while displaying them horizontally so they are easy to read.
