ArcGIS Explorer

My question is about ArcGIS Explorer. I understand, I can use base maps from ESRI, add my own layers and later share this everything with other users. Is it possible that I can also add geoprocessing service to map – I mean some custom tool written in VB and working now on my desktop? Is there possibilities that users of my map service can submit data (some kind of automatically download to my database) and edit my data on the map?

Thank you

Good question.  A series of blogs describe options for customization of ArcGIS Explorer.  There are some capabilities there which you will find interesting, from pre-authored add-ins to instructions on how to create an add-in.  Take a few minutes to read all four blog entries, quite interesting.
