Arc/Info Shadeset RGB Values

Is there anything online that would show me the RGB values for Arc/Info Shadesets? I'm converting some of my older maps done in AML to Desktop and would like to match the colors that I had set in my look-up tables.

Mapping Center Answer:

You will find the color definitions in two different places: 1) the shadesets themselves, and 2) the colorfile (colorfile.txt) that is stored in the $ARCHOME/symbols directory. To look at the color definitions in the shadesets thamselves, you have to run ArcWorkstation and you need to use either the SHADEEDIT or the SHADEINFO commands -- with these, you can find the color definition (in CMYK) of each individual color. To look at the color definitions in the colorfile, navigate to the $ARCHOME/symbols directory and open the colorfile.txt (using Wordpad or Notepad) – here you can also find the color definitions (in CMYK) for all the colors.

In either case, you will have to make the CMYK to RGB conversion, or you can just use the CMYK color definitions instead of the RGB ones.
