3D arcing curves

Hi,
I would like to make 3D arcing curves for visualising From-To connections. I would like to have a postcode/zip polygon layer with lines going from postcode/zip A to postcode/zip B, so that visually the lines arc up and over the flat polygon layer. Assuming I need to create some form of geodesic dataset in the process.

Right now there is no way to do this autmoatically -- we are looking at this, however, and I suggest you post this as an enhancement on our ArcGIS Ideas page. In the meantime, here is a blog entry that we wrote about mapping flow lines:
