Greetings!

Where are the style sheets located in 9.3.1. We are required to use the NRCS Planning Style Sheet and I don't know where to put it in 9.3.1. In 8.3 we put it in C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\styles. Where would the location of the style sheets be for 9.3.1?

Mapping Center Answer:

In ArcGIS version 9.3.1, the default location for all styles that are included with ArcGIS is the ArcGIS\Styles folder. But remember that your personal style or any custom styles you make may be in the \Application Data\ESRI\ArcMap> folder. In a nutshell, where you put your NRCS Style is determined by you. It can be in any directory.  Just make sure to reference it in teh Style Manager after you open your map document.

For future reference, the default installation in ArcGIS version 10, the styles are installed from a path such as \ArcGIS\Desktop10.0\Styles.
