I want to work serial numbers as 1 2 3 4 5 ... in a field number in arcgis 10?
as (zz field) in attachment

We answered a similar question once before and included with the answer a Python script that you can use to do this calculation. Here is the link to the previous answer:

This script was written for ArcGIS 9.3.1 but it should also wrok for 10.
