I have a layer of polyons as zones and a raster for the statistics. How do I know which pixels underlying the polygons are participating in the statistics formula? This should be in the tool description... Erdas gives very specific rules for how each pixel is arranged and incorporated into the statistics.

Mapping Center Answer:

This will be based on the position of the centroid of the pixel.  If the centroid falls within the zone, then the pixel will be included.
