Hello,

How can I color ramp the outline of a polygon in the symbology tab? I would like holo polys with different color outlines.

Thanks

Brian

Mapping Center Answer:

You can't do this directly in the symbology tab since it only allows you to create a color ramp for the fill.  One solution is to convert your polygon boundaries to line features using the Polygon to Line Tool, then place the new line feature above the polygon layer in the Table of Contents and symbolise the lines using a color ramp.  Another way would be to symbolise your polygons using Cartographic Representations which would give you much more control over the way the outlines are symbolised...though this would require quite a bit of work to edit your symbols to create different rules.
