I should have specified that I'd want to incorporate another layer of points in the simplification process. So, I want lines to be simplified but to snap to points that they currently snap-to. Thanks!

Mapping Center Answer:

Snapping together multiple features can be done by using the Snap geoprocessing tool.  You can snap your linear features to point features in another layer.  Then you can perform your simplification process.
