Is there a way to extract a singular contour or several contours out of a contour set created from NED’s without having to copy/paste? Or is the copy/paste the simplest means to do this?
I would like to extract one single or perhaps several singular elevations from multiple contours for use with boundary creation.
Mapping Center Answer:
You can select contour lines based on attributes such as their elevation values. Then you can Export that data to a new feature class. Here is a link to the online help topic called Using Select by Attributes.
