Symbology for reservoirs showing percent full

Hi! I'm trying to find a good symbol(s) for a reservoir that could be used to show percent full. I realize I can use one symbol, like the surface impoundment symbol that comes w/ the software, and then use a color gradient for the percent, but I'm being asked for a symbol with varying water levels on it.

Thanks.

Mapping Center Answer:

I am having a hard time envisioning a symbol with varying water levels on it so I am not sure that this is going to be the answer you are looking for -- if it is not, please write us back with a bit more information and maybe attach a graphic of what you are thinking of. However, what comes to mind is using a bar chart so that the bar height is associated with the water level.  And if the water levels vary over time, you could also show that with this type of chart, essentially presenting the information in a hydrograph.
