I have learned about using extent indicators to show the extent of one data frame within another data frame as a keymap (locator map.) I use a polygon feature class as my index page. In the main map data frame, I want to show the selected polygon (Index Page) in one reset symbol automatically when click to next page. In other words, I want to show the selected polygon in different symbol (color) compare to the surrounding area. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you!
Mapping Center Answer:
Add your Index layer to the table of contents again then symbolize that layer in the way you want to highlight the selected polygon. Then in that layer go to the Properties > Definition Query tab, and click the Page Definition button. Set the Page Definition to Match the name of the index feature. This will then just show the current index feature when you move from page to page.
