samples - using data not from the "value" column

I’m having problems replicating something I’ve done previously and it’s driving me mad.......
I’m using the sample tool, but for one of my variables I don’t want the “VALUE” column, I want to sample data from a different column. I seem to have done this previously-sampling all columns from the dataset, but I can’t work out how- I think I may have manipulated the file to be sampled first, but I'm not sure. Any advice you could give would be greatly appreciated, Thanks
