Dynamically placing label of overlapped lines/points

I have a feature class of about 500 telcom cables. Each polyline represents a cable (with cable id and number). Some cables run by itself, some run along with with others (overlapped polylines).

My question is, is it possible to let ArcMap dynamically placing the labels of overlapped lines in multiple lines from top to bottom? please see my examples below for what I mean:

Example 1. when there's only one line (this is how ArcMap normally does):

Example 2. when three lines overlap on each other (this is what I'd like to get):

AA x 1
BB x 1
CC x 2

Mapping Center Answer:

You need to use the Maplex labelling engine to set the fitting strategy to stack labels.  ArcGIS Resource Center Using Strategy Order help topic explains the way to set this up.
