I am putting points on my map and I have to transfer the attributes from the old row, into the new row. This table has a lot of attributes and I am having to cut and paste every column into the new row. I was wondering if there is a faster, easier way to cut and paste the entire row at once. Thanks for your help!!

Mapping Center Answer:

One trick works in cases where you know the coordinates of the points is to use Excel.   You'll need a column for the X and Y values so you can use the Add XY Data tool in ArcMap.   After than you just need to use Excel's capability to copy a range of values and paste it.

If you don't know the XY values, then field calculator is the only option.

If that isn't an option, then it is definitely faster to copy and paste using the Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V keystroke combinations in concert with the arrow keys in the Table Window than to do so in the Editor's attribute window.
