I'm looking for symbols for outdoor facilities such as tennis courts, staking rinks, baseball
dimaonds, etc. Does ESRI have a symbol set similar to this? If so, where do I find it? If not, do
you have any suggestions about how I could go about creating my own? Thank you

ESRI does not have anything like this, but quite a few font houses have created sports fonts that you can download and use to create marker symbols. I just Googled: Sports Font and got a number of promising hits; hopefully one of those will work for you.
