How do I make a Point Symbol show up larger in the legend than on the map itself? i'm using
ArcGIS 9.2

Mapping Center Answer:

There are at least a couple ways of doing this, though both will break the link between the layer and the legend. Perhaps the least invasive way is to make a copy of your layer, change the symbol size in the copy, but turn it’s visibility off. Use the copy of the layer in the legend. The other way is to right click on the legend in the layout and choose Convert to Graphics. You’ll need to ungroup several times until you can select just the graphic element representing with the point symbol, and then you can edit the symbol and change its size.
