Is there a way a style may be created with catergories, or folders such as Timber Sale Markers,
Statewide Map Road symbols instead of North arrows, scale bars. etc.?

Mapping Center Answer:

There is a way you can easily modify or create marker symbols with corporate identifier applied in the category field of your symbols.

One of the easiest ways is when you create a new marker, assign it a category of your choosing. For modification of existing markers, navigate to your style, expand the style and click on the marker symbols folder. Move your cursor to the right side of the Style Manager window.

Make sure you’re using the “detail” view (rightmost view-box). You will see to field names appearing at the top: one is the Name field, the other is Category. Under the Category field you can then proceed to modify the text to show Timber Sale Markers, or Statewide Map Road, etc. Tip: You can copy, cut and paste the category name for additional symbols.

Currently, there isn’t a way to modify the name of a folder under a style.
