Is there a way to upload bmp customized representations marker symbols?

I don't have an ArcInfo license..ArcEditor only..

I would like to use pottery symbols in my representations..

You can create standard marker symbols (picture marker is the technical term we've used) with BMP. There is a help topic called Creating marker symbols; scroll down to the section on using pictures and graphics.

Representation Markers, as in cartographic Represntations, is supported with an ArcEditor license. However these markers are vector only, and only can be imported from true type marker symbols, or drawn from scratch in the marker editor.

You might find it useful to know that there is a what we've called the ArcGIS 9.3 Functionality Matrix that tells you which licensing level of ArcGIS a particular feature or function is available at.
