How do I draw a base for my grid? I have made a 3d visualization for my grid, using the base height command. There is a script or tool to do this?

Mapping Center Answer:

Here’s a method you can use:

  1. Have a line feature class for the perimeter.
  2. Set the layer’s Base Heights to be on the surface / TIN / DEM (Screenshot 1).
  3. Set the layer’s Extrusion to "...a value that features are extruded to" and set the base minimum elevation (Screenshot 2).

The results are shown in Screenshot 3.
