I have a map with collection numbered points indicated it but when the mapis at the required scale (1:350,000) the points are very hard to see as they are really close togther making them have the same point of orign. How can i make these points viewable? I have tried re siaxing, overlapping and on an angle but still un readable.

We get this question a lot. There are a few things you can do -- it depends on how you want to approach the situation. To get started, take a look at these three blog entries – one might have the solution that you think will work best for you – if not, be sure to write back to us and tell us why none of these worked so we can try to come up with a different solution! But most of the time, one of these is useful for most of the problems.

  1. How to scatter stacked or clustered marker symbols for point features
  2. Displaying Coincident Points
  3. Using the Disperse Markers tool to show community amenities
