Embedded Globe Symbol

I wanted to embed a globe symbol in my maps similar to the one shown in the Oregan Earthquake thematic map.
Please help me with the instructions on how to do this.

Also the ArcScene "chunk of land" showing the points where Earthquakes have occured is neat on the Oregan map at the bottom. How can I make that, too? Is there a tutorial anywhere on ESRI where I can learn ArcScene and ArcGlobe?

Thank you.

Mapping Center Answer:

I just posted a blog entry on how to make the globe locator map -- the step by step instructions should help you with that task.

Actually the shaded relief on which the earthquakes are shown does not require either ArecScene or ArcGlobe -- you just need to have the Spatial Analyst extension to make a similar map. (This is a good thing because I am not sure offhand where there is either an ArcGlobe or ArcScene tutorial, but I would not be surprised if there was one out there somewhere -- if I find out where they are, I will add a comment to this question.)

Instructions at the beginning of the One Minute Cartographer presentation take you step by step through how to create the map -- just stop when you get to the point of adding a layer tint.  The presentation with the bottom notes (i.e., the instructions) is on the Other Resources - Presentations tab of Mapping Center.
